Two Shot at Henrietta Avenue Home

Knoxville Police Department detectives are investigating after two men were shot at a Henrietta Avenue home early Friday morning.

At around 4 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, KPD officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of Henrietta Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found two men, both age 33, who had been shot inside the home. The victims were transported to the UT Medical Center with serious injuries.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the shooting occurred following a dispute over a card game. There is no indication at this time that the shooting is connected to the earlier incident on Gilbert Lane.

Multiple individuals were detained on scene for questioning and further investigation. Charges are not on file at this time.
